Being a mentor will be different than last year because Intreeweek 2020 will be online. But like every other year, we need mentors to guide our groups throughout the week.
Please note, both mentors have to register.
What do I have to do as a mentor?
As a mentor, you are obliged to host two online meetings with your group. These two online meetings will be scheduled and will take approximately two hours. All other events are not mandatory, but we ask you to join as often as possible. The programme will contain a spectacular opening, comedy, DJs, and much more. Your effort can really make a difference for our new students! Updates about the exact programme will be on our website soon.
why should I become a mentor?
- You will help new students making friends.
- You will receive a compensation of 20 euros. In case you guide two groups you will receive 40 euros!
- You will get to know the city of Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam even better than you already do now.
- You have access to all online events.
During the week you are obliged to host two online meetings with your group. These two online meetings will be scheduled and will take approximately two hours. These meetings will be on Monday and Tuesday or Monday and Wednesday.
It is possible to guide two groups this year. This is possible because not all group meetings will be at the same time. We expect the number of participants to be higher than usual, therefore we will probably need more mentors.
In recent years, the mentors had free access to our parties but this year we cannot offer that. Therefore, we decided to give mentors a financial compensation, 20 euros per mentor per group.
During this week you do not need to be present in Amsterdam.
Mentors who are both following the same study have priority.
- Registration will close Friday 14 August 2020 at 17:00.
In the weeks prior to Intreeweek, you will receive more information with mentor instructions.
When you register you automatically agree with the terms and conditions.
