Are you the first in your family to go to university? Does starting at the UvA feel a bit overwhelming or unfamiliar? Or do you simply prefer a smaller, more personal introduction where you can ask all your questions and build confidence before your program starts?
Then Get Ready with IntreeLite might be a good fit for you.
What is Get Ready with IntreeLite?
Get Ready is part of the three-day IntreeLite program. You join a small group with its own mentors who:
take extra time for questions,
help you find your way at UvA,
and focus on creating an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
What can I expect as a participant?
During the three IntreeLite days:
You join a small, mixed group
Your group may include students from your own study programme and other programmes within your faculty.You visit the IntreeLite events together
You follow the same programme as other groups, guided by your mentors.Your mentors check in with you regularly
They’ll keep an eye on how everyone is doing and make it easy to speak up if something feels unclear or overwhelming.On Wednesday at the fair
Your mentor will make sure you get acquainted with UvA staff from relevant helpful services, such as:Central Diversity Office

On Wednesday at Intree Inspires
There are workshops that are particularly interesting for Get Ready participants. Your mentors can help you choose what suits you.Special Get Ready event
There will be a special inspiring lecture with a mystery guest that’s only available for Get Ready with Intreelite students.
